Terms of Service

Welcome to ShotBible, operated by The Elephant Room LTD Co ("ShotBible," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using theshotbible.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.

1.The Service

ShotBible is software for film pre-production, production planning, and release preparation. It includes AI-assisted features (script breakdown, shot design, strategy analysis, key-art generation, document assembly, and similar tools). The Service assists your filmmaking; it does not replace your professional judgment.

2.Your Account

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under them. One person per account unless your plan says otherwise.

3.Plans, Credits & Billing

Paid plans bill monthly through Stripe until cancelled; cancellation stops future billing and your plan runs to the end of the paid period. Render credits ("Production Budget") are consumed by generation features as disclosed in the interface, are non-refundable, and do not expire. Where a feature fails on our side after debiting credits, we automatically re-credit them. Prices may change with notice; existing subscribers keep their rate where we have said so. Refunds: subscription fees are refundable within 7 days of a first purchase if you have not consumed paid features; credit purchases are non-refundable once any credit from the pack is spent. Contact support to request a refund.

4.Your Content — You Own Your Film

You retain all rights in the scripts, stills, footage, descriptions, and other materials you upload ("Your Content") and in the outputs generated from Your Content within the Service, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service (including sending it to the AI providers below at your direction). We claim no ownership of your film. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

5.AI Features — Honest Limits

AI outputs (shot recommendations, renders, analyses, assembled documents, key art) are generated by machine-learning systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You must review outputs before relying on them. Outputs may resemble outputs generated for others. We make no guarantee of accuracy, fitness, or that outputs are free of third-party rights issues — verify before publication or use.

6.THEMIS & Document Templates — Not Legal Advice

Document features (THEMIS — Production Counsel) provide attorney-drafted-and-reviewed-or-pending templates and general education, not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed. Templates marked "pending attorney review" have not yet completed review. Have a licensed attorney in your state review documents before signing.

7.Acceptable Use

No unlawful content or use; no uploading content that infringes others' rights or depicts minors inappropriately; no attempts to breach, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service; no using outputs to violate anyone's publicity, privacy, or IP rights; no reselling the Service without our written agreement.

8.Third-Party Services

We use trusted processors to run the Service, including Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI text processing), and fal.ai (image generation). Your Content is transmitted to these providers only as needed to deliver the feature you invoked.

9.Copyright Complaints

Report claimed infringement to the contact below with the information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3); we respond to valid notices, including removal and, for repeat infringers, account termination.

10.Termination

You may close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination you may export your projects for 30 days (export tools are built into the Service).

11.Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR PRODUCTIONS. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

12.General

These Terms are governed by South Carolina law. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in the Service, and continued use is acceptance.
